Pitch 200 ICE North East and Yorkshire & Humber regional final, York

About this event

What is the most creative way to explain civil engineering?

Pitch 200, the engineering competition with a difference, brings together civil engineers to answer that exciting question.

See our ICE members from the North East and Yorkshire & Humber regions join forces to see creativity come alive with engineers showcasing their work in the most curious and unconventional way at the ICE 200 Regional Final.

We are also very pleased to announce our special guest host, Marty Jopson, who is perhaps best known as a BBC science reporter for the One Show and a proud ambassador for science including civil engineering. Find out more about Marty.

From across the two regions, the top entries selected by expert judges will compete to showcase their talent and creativity in the form of a 200 second presentation using all sorts of props and methods.

The regional winner will become the ICE Regional Ambassador for 2019 and will go on to represent the two regions at the national final at ICE's Headquarters in London.

Presentations will be followed by question and answer sessions where the audience is encouraged to participate.

This event is open to all, especially people with a non-engineering background. We look forward to welcoming you to a free, fun and informative evening where you'll be able to ask questions and learn more about how civil engineers have and continue to change the world!
