“ICE 200 Shaping Our Future City” Campaign

About this event

In commemoration of the 200th anniversary of Institution of Civil Engineers, Institution of Civil Engineers Hong Kong Association Graduates and Students Division (ICE HKA G&S) is organising a campaign “Shaping our Future City” for secondary school students from February to July 2018, with a theme of Hong Kong 2030+ (HK2030+). Riding on the successful implementation of the site visits, talks and workshops sessions from February to May, the presentation-cum-exhibition will be held in Early July at City Gallery, Central, to showcase students’ learning outcome, as well as promoting civil engineering to the publics.

The scenario-based competition as one of the highlights of the campaign, featuring two major topics of HK2030+ - railway development and urban development, was designed for the students to practise the knowledge acquired throughout the campaign, and to reinforce their understanding of HK2030+. The students will showcase their proposals on the conceptual planning of the two topics by a verbal presentation on 7 July 2018 and a poster exhibition from 1 July to 15 July 2018.

In addition to the students’ proposals, recent projects of various government departments and engineering corporates as well as information of local tertiary organisations and Institution of Civil Engineers will be displayed in the exhibition.
