About this workshop

Whether you are working proactively through your IPD, writing your Career Appraisal or other membership application or preparing for your Professional Review, you will need to write about your competence against the nine attributes of an Incorporated or Chartered Engineer and Member of the Institution.

This activity-based workshop aims to help you in writing your development reports, Attribute Achievement form or Review report. It suggests techniques to plan your document; focus your writing; and effectively edit and critique it to provide the best evidence from your experiences.

To get the most out of this workshop, you will need to the following to hand:

  • A good idea of your career objectives and more specific reason for attending the workshop
  • One or more of the following:
  • A partially written document (e.g. development report, Attribute Achievement form, draft Review report, CV)
  • An example of your work from a recent project or task (e.g. a drawing, photograph or report)
Please note, all timings are GMT.

Please ensure you are compliant with any local regulations and do not attend if you have symptoms or have tested positive.  We would appreciate it also if you would consider:
•    Taking a voluntary lateral flow test within 48 hours of attendance.
•    Wearing a mask when moving around and in shared spaces (note in some parts of the UK this is still a requirement and is voluntary in others).
