Continuing Professional Development (CPD)

That's why our members make a commitment to continuing professional development (CPD). This means maintaining, improving and increasing your knowledge and skills.

Attending events and training courses is an important part of your CPD.

However, there are other ways to add to your skills and experience. Getting new qualifications and passing your knowledge on to others are just a few of them.

Getting new qualifications

From becoming a chartered manager (CMgr), to gaining legal qualifications, we provide and support a number of additional qualifications to help you continue your professional development.

Becoming an incorporated or chartered engineer is a great achievement, but you don't have to stop there. ICE has other qualifications that can help you take your career even further.

You can do this in several ways, from qualifying as a chartered manager and getting credit for your senior management skills, to qualifying in specialist subjects like law and contracts.
