About this event

This lecture will cover good practice Conservation techniques used in investigating and repairing historic structures. It will include masonry, timber & iron framed structures together with examples of monitoring and temporary works.

Speaker: Anthony Clarke former Technical Director from Curtins.

Complimentary buffet and tea/coffee will be served from 6pm with the presentation starting at 6:30pm.

This is a joint event between ICE Merseyside branch and IStructE.

Anthony is a Conservation Accredited Structural Engineer with 39 years post-graduation experience much of it working in the field of Historic and listed Structures. Antony recently retired after working all his professional life with Curtins, the last 10 years as a Technical Director in their Liverpool office.

Anthony has written and has published technical papers on projects. He was awarded the Clancy medal by the Institution of Structural Engineers for the best paper in 2008 published in their Journal (The Structural Engineer) for the investigation and repair of a former Military aircraft hangar in Speke, Liverpool.
