About this event

Event postponed

This event has been postponed due.

We hope to reorganise the talk as soon as possible and will let you know when there is a firm date.

The presentation ‘Drones in construction’ will discuss the use and limitations of drones in civil engineering, illustrated with case studies from recent projects.

Moving into a new decade, the construction industry needs to progress with advancing technology. This presentation will provide a brief overview of legislation and what’s required to use drones during a project. Michael May from Flythru will discuss how current working practices can be adapted to make it easier to use drones on site. He will also talk about current challenges/blockers and highlight the new opportunities for drones in the construction industry.

Refreshments will be available from 18:00 with a prompt 18:30 start time. Parking is available at the location. Access through the main entrance at ground level and follow signs to the meeting rooms in the basement of the AECOM office.
