In this lecture we will look at current developments in sustainable materials for the construction sector and consider the innovations that may influence the future landscape.

Our first section is titled ‘Made in Scotland, Made from Scotland’ the innovation journey to more circular and sustainable materials. Here, we will be given an overview of the innovation support landscape with reference to the development of sustainable and circular material solutions in a Scottish context.

The second part of the lecture will present the research being carried out into the potential of engineered timber for use in off-site manufactured structures through an integrated design process, that links the material properties with modern methods of construction.

This webinar starts at 18.15.
