Humber pipeline tunnel presentation, Hull

About this event

The joint venture of Skanska, Porr and A-hak is replacing critical gas infrastructure for National Grid by constructing a tunnel underneath the Humber Estuary into which a 5km pipeline will be inserted in a single string.
This lecture will provide an overview of the project, with a focus on how the team managed the environmental and geotechnical constraints of the site to deliver an efficient TBM launch pit solution. There will also be an insight into how the spatial and logistical constraints of the small tunnel were overcome to install slurry booster pump equipment.
The talk will be presented by Natalie Davey, Senior Temporary Works Designer for Skanska, and Adam Steele who is a Graduate Civil Engineer working on the project.
