International Women in Engineering Day 2021 panel discussion, online

About this event

International Women in Engineering Day (INWED) is an international awareness campaign which raises the profile of women in engineering and focuses attention on the amazing career opportunities available to women in this industry. This year’s theme is ‘Engineering Heroes’.

In 2020, civil engineers around the world responded to the Covid-19 pandemic and adapted to the restrictions and difficulties in order to deliver and maintain critical services and infrastructure, keep society functioning and save lives.

Join the ICE West Midlands Graduates and Students Committee and guest speakers as they share their experience and insights as women in the civil engineering industry.

The speakers will also be available to answer any questions you have from learning more about the ICE to finding out more about being a woman in engineering.

The speakers are:

  • Sara Subtil, Head of Asset Management (Bridges and Civil Structures) UK at Arcadis, FICE
  • Alison Horton, Chartered Senior Structural Engineer at Curtains
  • Miranda Bishop-Timings, Graduate Site Engineer at Morgan Sindall Construction & Infrastructure
  • Izzy Spencer, Undergraduate Engineer at WSP
  • Sonali Patel, Student at Warwick University

This event will take place on MS Teams and an invite link will be sent to all booked delegates on the day of the event.
