QSSE Business Partner, Atkins and ICE NI Health & Safety Group Chair
Jill is the Atkins QSSE Business Partner for the 3000-strong Infrastructure Division. Her leadership in the areas of Quality, Safety, Security and Environment promotes Safe and Secure by Choice, Right First Time and creating and maintaining sustainable environments.
Jill is a chartered engineer with over 25 years’ experience in the construction industry, across all phases from feasibility through to detailed design and supervision on site. Jill provides safety advice and direction across the breadth of the Atkins teams, including architects, engineers, planners, ecologists and project managers. She has been involved with the Consultant’s Health & Safety Forum and has been actively engaged in the creation of the skill, knowledge and experience matrix and the creation and ongoing delivery of the one day Principal Designer training module. Jill notes, ‘Health and Safety is just looking at engineering in a different light, and my role is helping others to achieve their technical goals whilst being cognisant of the wider needs.’
