Civil Engineers’ Club walk – Putney Bridge to South Bank Centre, Putney

About this event

Walk Overview:
The walk is about 8 miles long, along the Thames Path.
It will be about 5 miles before lunch and 3 miles after.

Route:
On leaving Putney Bridge, we go through Wandsworth Park and on past the Battersea Heliport. After Battersea and Albert Bridges, we go through Battersea Park and around the site of the old Battersea Power Station.
After lunch, we pass the MI5 building which is followed by Lambeth Palace and St. Thomas Hospital. Finally, we see The London Eye and, after Hungerford Bridge, we arrive at The Royal Festival Hall

Finish:
The walk will end at about 3.30pm by the South Bank Centre which is near Waterloo BR Station and Underground.

Lunch Break:
The Nine Elms Tavern. A menu will be available at the start of the walk and lunch orders will be phoned through to the pub
