The 1st ICE SEA Virtual Speaker Tour 2020 will be launched on 24 June 2020 and the tour will run for 6 months through November 2020 across South East Asia.
The ICE SEA Virtual Speaker Tour 2020 is titled "Building and Maintaining Public Infrastructure Resilience in Time of Crisis" and weaves in content on 'the new norm and future of engineering’. This lecture series will be delivered by Ir. Gandhi Suppiah FICE, Head of Asset Management, Opus International (Malaysia) Berhad, a company of UEM EDGENTA Group.

Ir. Gandhi Suppiah has over 25 years of experience with consulting firms and contractor organisations in the design, construction and project management of major multidisciplinary infrastructure projects. He is a Chartered Engineer and a Fellow of Institution of Civil Engineers with wide-ranging knowledge of managing transport infrastructure and built environment assets in diverse environments, with a successful track record of delivering significant engineering projects from concept through design and construction and into lifecycle maintenance and rehabilitation.
In Malaysia, Gandhi leads the Asset Management Division in Opus International (M) Berhad Company of UEM Edgenta and is responsible for the delivery of new and maintenance engineering schemes in highways, railways and the built environment in South East Asia. He is responsible for the Network Maintenance Management of the 900km North South Expressway (PLUS), Malaysia and 130km Cipali Highway in Indonesia. He has strong business management track record of developing new business and delivering growth, optimised operational performance and improved productivity coupled with people and stakeholder management skills gained through leading diverse teams in complex environments. He is comfortable working on different industrial sectors and have a track record of delivering technology and commercial outcomes.
