Overview

Join the ICE East Midlands Lincolnshire Branch for a technical overview of the Wrangle Pumping Station replacement project.

Ed Johnson, chief engineer at Witham Fourth District Internal Drainage Board, will discuss the condition survey conducted in 2020 which concluded the 50-year-old pumping station was at the end of its life.

Work started on the pumping station, located in East Lincolnshire in July 2023 to replace the old pumping station.

The pumping station provides flood protection for a catchment area of approximately 2,169ha, 117 residential properties and 26 commercial properties. The majority of the catchment is high grade arable land and of national importance in terms of food production.
