Overview
An overview of fibre reinforced polymer composite materials, a materials group that is used for diverse applications from the demanding performance of satellites to more mundane everyday structures such as sheet pile walls.
Composites can be at the cutting edge of innovation so there will be an insight into some of the technology developments at the National Composites Centre relevant to the sector, from maximising performance or productivity to recycling.
Concluding by showing how the materials group relates to Marine Civil Engineering through examples of how their unique benefits can, or could be, exploited within marine structures.
