Although rail is already the lowest carbon mode of transport, there is a lot to be done to achieve net-zero carbon by 2050.

Guest speaker, David Clarke, author of the RIA Electrification Cost Challenge, will:

  • Show how electrification can, and is, being delivered efficiently
  • Examine the scale of the decarbonisation challenge
  • Discuss a possible strategy for deploying electrification and zero-carbon rolling stock
