Overview

The circular economy is increasingly important to geotechnical contractors and designers.

This talk is based on the European Federation of Foundation Contractor's circular economy guide. It focuses on a number of main topics relevant within the geotechnical space:

  • What is the circular economy and, specifically, what does it mean for geotechnics?
  • Why should geotechnical companies care about the circular economy?
  • What are the upcoming legislation and trends we should be aware of?
  • How can we practically contribute to a more circular economy?

Case studies will be used to illustrate how others are using the approach, and questions are welcome at the end of the presentation.
