Overview
The ICE North East Climate Action Group (CAG) was launched in October 2024 with a mission to facilitate collaboration between civil engineers and stakeholders in the North East to systematically contribute to the region’s transition to a net zero, sustainable economy.
Following on from the launch which shared the objectives of the group and brought together industry, local government and academia stakeholders for a PAS 2080:2023 and a carbon management workshop, the CAG is hosting its first meeting.
This meeting will build on the momentum of the launch and engage ICE members to shape the CAG’s climate and sustainability initiatives in the North East, with the following objectives:
- Provide a deep dive into the CAG’s Terms of Reference.
- Review the group’s priorities for the year.
- Workshop to shape the group’s upcoming initiatives in the North East.
- Mobilise members for systematic action and share tasks for the next meeting.
The ICE NE will provide a platform to systematically contribute to climate action in the North East – collaborate on projects and events, share knowledge and ideas and build lasting partnerships that will drive impactful change in our region. Your participation in this meeting will provide an opportunity to influence the direction of our ongoing climate initiatives in the North East.
Join us and connect with like-minded individuals and organisations dedicated to climate action and sustainability.
Please note this event is open to ICE members only.
We have a membership grade for all those in the built environment - join the ICE.
