Overview

As we look to a more sustainable future, priorities on how we utilise our highways network must continually adapt to our current and future residents.

This presentation provides an introspective on the reprioritisation of highways to improve accessibility for all road users in the Ferndown area of Dorset.

Dorset Council aims to provide safe and accessible forms of transport while supporting the local economy, boosting productivity and reducing carbon emissions.

The Transforming Cities Fund (TCF) project has provided a network of cycleways and improved footways to connect residential areas with employment and education in Ferndown.

Join this session to find out about some of the project challenges throughout the design and delivery process and the measures implemented to overcome them to achieve successful delivery.

This breakfast event is hosted by ICE Dorchester City Club and includes a breakfast bap and tea or coffee.
