About this event

Set on the rugged North Cornwall coast, Tintagel Castle is one of the most spectacular historic sites in Britain. But the path visitors take to the castle is challenging, with over a hundred steps winding towards the cliff-top ruins. In October 2018, works started on a new footbridge at Tintagel, recreating the historic crossing from the mainland to the headland.

Please join us for a site visit to explore the newly constructed footbridge at Tintagel castle. Please meet at 17.45 for a 18.00 start at the site entrance located next to the Cornish Bakery in Tintagel. No PPE will be required but attendees will need to wear sturdy shoes as there are uneven surface and steps. Spaces are limited so be sure to book early.

There is no parking on site but there are multiple car parks within walking distance including The Castle car park and Old Tintagel Country Club car park which are on the map below. Some of the car parks don’t take cards so please have cash with you.
