Overview

Join Pete Richardson, rockfall systems manager at Maccaferri for a webinar on restoration of Schoolhouse Bridge on the Montgomery Canal in Shropshire.

This presentation will take you through the journey from concept to construction, highlighting innovative design solutions that made the project economically viable, sustainable, and respectful of the canal's heritage.

In January 2024, a new bridge was completed, standing 6m high, 10m long, and 6.5m wide. This new bridge enables the full reopening of the canal up to the Shropshire County border, preserving cultural heritage and enhancing local ecosystems.

This is an exciting opportunity to learn about the winner of the Small Project Award at the ICE West Midlands Awards 2024.
