Andrew Wyllie, ICE's President and CEO of Costain, has offered his season's greetings in a video to mark the end of ICE's bicentenary year.
In the video, Wyllie reiterated some of the themes from his inaugural presidential address
, explaining how the infrastructure industry is moving into the fourth industrial revolution.
This new era is characterised by a fusion of technologies that's blurring the lines between the physical, digital and biological spheres.
He said: "I believe that the ICE should be at the very forefront of this revolution, seizing the wide array of exciting opportunities it creates for our members."
Wyllie also reflected on some of the major events ICE has hosted this year, including the Global Engineering Congress
in October, which saw 2,500 delegates from 82 countries come to ICE's London headquarters to try to solve the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals
