Members can now better tailor their learning and development towards their next job role, with the launch of a new career development tool on the ICE Learning Hub
The new tool allows members to select a range of engineering, project management and business roles and review the key competencies and skills required. The Learning Hub will automatically recommend learning programmes that will help members in or working towards the selected role, as well as ‘quick tips’ for self-development.
Each job role also features a profile of an individual, discussing their career journey and the learning and knowledge they've used, to provide inspiration and guidance.
Nathan Baker, ICE Director of Engineering Knowledge, said: “The new career tool will help members to make the most of the free learning programmes available to them. Members can use these resources to help them to fulfil the competency requirements in their current roles or progress to their next role.
“Through supporting members’ lifelong learning and continuous professional development, ICE is helping to assure society that infrastructure professionals can be trusted throughout their career.”
Members will find the new feature alongside the existing skills analysis tool, which allows members to self-evaluate against 29 different work-based skills, in the career development section of the Learning Hub.
