Overview
Hosted at the Skanska and National Highways project site near Thickthorn Junction, this in-person ICE East of England event will provide an overview of the A47 Thickthorn Junction Improvement Project and the engineering behind its delivery.
The session will explore the purpose of the scheme, the challenges of delivering major highway works at a live strategic road junction, and the construction approach being used on site. It will include key engineering highlights from the project, including the work behind the new bridge structure planned to be installed over the A11 later this year, as well as the use of technology, digital tools and construction innovations supporting safe and efficient delivery.
The event will include a 40-minute presentation followed by a 20-minute Q&A session.
