Overview
Members Only Event
The setting back of tidal defences, including the construction of two new tidal embankments and two new Archimedes Screw Pumping Stations and creation of 50 hectares of intertidal habitat will create a long-term sustainable solution, alongside wider environmental and community benefits. The project is in the second year of a 5-year construction programme and this is an opportunity to see a real life nature based solution to flooding.
This session is designed for industry partners and key stakeholders, offering a valuable opportunity to see first-hand how the project is progressing in its second year (5-year total programme) of construction.
The afternoon will include:
- Industry displays showcasing aspects of the project and wider sector innovation
- A short presentation outlining progress, challenges and next steps
- A guided walk to the construction site viewing area, where you can experience the scale and complexity of the construction works underway
It will provide useful insight into the collaborative work being delivered and create space for discussion with project representatives and peers across the industry.
