The Castlemartyr Waste Water Treatment Plant project focuses on delivering an upgraded, compliant wastewater treatment facility through an Early Contractor Involvement approach, addressing site constraints, constructability, and environmental risks while enabling phased implementation to meet regulatory requirements and improve operational resilience.
Attendees will gain a clear understanding of how Early Contractor Involvement shaped the successful delivery of the Castlemartyr Waste Water Treatment Plant, alongside practical insights from a recently completed site, covering design development, construction challenges, collaborative problem‑solving, and lessons learned applicable to future wastewater infrastructure projects.
The event is limited to 6 seats for ICE members. To register, please contact Quazi Shammas Sayeed (ROI ICE ECNet Member) at [email protected].
Prior to the site visit, a webinar outlining the Castlemartyr Waste Water Treatment Plant project will take place on 25 May. Please register separately via the event page.

Q&A session

A series of web-based workshops aimed at graduate, student and technician members who are working toward EngTech, IEng or CEng with the ICE. These workshops provide advice and guidance on recording Initial Professional Development (IPD), broken down by attribute.

This is an opportunity for Technician members (EngTech MICE/FICE) and those wishing to become qualified at EngTech grade to come together to discuss issues that are important to technicians. This session explores becoming an ICE EngTech reviewer, with benefits and applying.

Join the ECNet for this technical webinar about the design of active travel infrastructure. Two Incorporated Engineers from Mott MacDonald will share key learning from a redevelopment scheme focusing on active travel, and a new layout for the design of CYCLOPS junctions.
