Overview

The ICE Bristol & Bath GSA Committee hosts the next session in a series of informal Attribute Workshop sessions, with a focus on Attribute 2 – Management and Leadership.

The workshop will allow participants to get additional support from the local ICE Membership Development Officer, Suzanne Willis (Bristol). Suzanne will provide an overview of the attribute, including recent changes through Membership Streamlining.

Suzanne will be joined by Rob Henley GMICE and Dominika Mackiewicz CEng MICE who will share examples on how they demonstrated knowledge and experience specific to this attribute to complete IPD. Matthew Coote EngTech MICE will also discuss how he demonstrated this attribute as part of his Technician Professional Review.

The session is intended to support all those working towards ICE membership, from students who are just starting out, a technician, a recent graduate or an experienced engineer close to sitting Professional Review.

Dominika’s role is to develop future complex infrastructure projects across the South of England with a focus on carbon net zero and biodiversity. Dominika has a history of major projects delivery in the transport sector including A30 Chiverton to Carland Cross and Filton Bank Four Tracking. Dominika features on the ICE specialist registers for NEC4: Accredited Project Managers.

Rob joined Arup in Bristol as a graduate in 2017. He is passionate about developing low carbon sustainable transport networks and the infrastructure needed to support them. He recently completed his IPD and will draw on his range of experience from major projects across the South West.

Matthew started working at Jacobs as a highways apprentice seven years ago, completing qualifications including a HND in Civil Engineering and the Built Environment. He has worked on frameworks with both Swindon and Devon Councils in addition to large, flagship projects such as the Lower Thames Crossing (LTC) and High speed 2 (HS2). He’s recently undertaken a secondment into a rail digital delivery team on the Transpennine Route Upgrade (TRU) project, in the hope of sharing his new knowledge and skills within the highways team.
