Overview

This new, modern commercial development was designed and built in full collaboration with Sir Robert McAlpine Ltd from concept stage through to soft landings.

Key challenges overcome included:

  • Re-use of the existing Thompson House (print works) basement
  • Building the structure and installing the façade within 1m of the Principality Stadium mast
  • Demolition of St Davids House and significant infrastructure works during Autumn and Spring Internationals
  • Co-ordination of construction activities on event days at the stadium
  • Proximity of other Central Square construction phases
  • Incorporation if significant tenant changes without impact on programme

This event is in celebration of and promoting International Women in Engineering Day.

The event is co-badged with the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB), the Chartered Management Institute and the Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE).
