Simon is AECOM’s rail director for the eastern region. He has over 25 years’ experience and is a Fellow of the ICE and PWI.
His early career focussed on asset management of highways and railways in the UK where he led in the introduction of innovative techniques to support development of maintenance and renewals work banks. He has undertaken roles that have resulted in these techniques being adopted for international clients, including heavy haul railways in Australia.
More recently Simon has lead projects through the whole project lifecycle from early business case and design development, through detailed design and into delivery. He has been a champion for challenging ways of working and promoting change in the industry with initiatives such as Project SPEED.
Morgan Sindall Infrastructure

Tony is a project manager at Morgan Sindall Infrastructure with over 15 years’ construction and design experience within transportation infrastructure.
Tony has worked on a range of rail infrastructure projects around the UK with the majority of his experience being in the construction and delivery of major rail schemes including station, depots and line of route upgrades.
Tony has had a leading role in the delivery of the Northumberland Line where he has been responsible for the delivery of new stations and coordination with the AECOM design team. He is a Chartered Civil Engineer and has recently completed an MBA at Newcastle University.
