The Princess Royal Award for Emerging Engineers (formerly the Emerging Engineers Award) 2026 celebrates original research, creative thinking, and strong communication skills among ICE Student and Graduate Members worldwide – including those in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. It’s a valuable opportunity to develop presentation techniques, enhance written communication, and gain exposure to the wider civil engineering community.
This year, ICE MENA received 24 abstract submissions showcasing a wide range of engineering topics. Following a thorough review by experienced judges, five finalists have been selected to present their work at the MENA regional final.
The top regional entrant may be chosen to represent the MENA region at the Global Final in London, with a chance to win the prestigious Institution Medal and a cash prize.
