Overview
Technicians are an invaluable asset to any company in the civil engineering industry. Without technicians, certain works would not happen. This series of presentations highlights just some of the important roles that technicians fulfil in the field.
Each month features three such technicians, demonstrating the levels of skill and knowledge they have, to carry out the valuable work they do each day. Skills they have learnt whilst carrying out their daily duties, skills that do not get taught in college or university, skills that can only be learnt in a hands-on practical method.
The underlying knowledge can be obtained by attending such courses as HNC, HND, BTEC and Apprenticeships but the high level of skill that these technicians carry out each day can only be obtained by on the job experience and training.
