Overview
The Yorkshire Geotechnical Group of the ICE are hosting their annual presentation competition for young geotechnical engineers.
We invite members and non-members to join us in supporting the competition entrants at this in-person competition event.
The format for the competition comprises of 10-minute presentations from up to six shortlisted finalists, followed by questions from the audience. Judging of the presentations and posters will be carried out on the night by a panel of judges from industry. Cash prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place presentations.
This year the separate poster competition will be held in conjunction with our half-day seminar later in May, with the best poster also awarded a prize. The poster competition is open to all and does not require the entrant to be participating in the presentation competition.
The evening will include a keynote presentation during the judge’s intermission.
