The ICE is delighted to announce that it will be holding its Coasts, marine structures and breakwaters 2027 conference in Edinburgh, UK, in September 2027.
The event will focus on the latest developments in maritime civil engineering, covering the full spectrum of research, design, construction and operation.
With a host of industry experts sharing their latest insights, this paper-led conference is a valuable opportunity to connect with innovators from across the globe. The previous event, held in Portsmouth in 2023, brought together 350 attendees from 40 countries.
Promising three days of presentations, a gala dinner and technical site visit, the 2027 conference is not to be missed. Its theme will be “Where theory meets practice: connecting knowledge and experience”.
We’re especially interested in applications from potential speakers seeking to discuss data-backed solutions to challenges ranging from maintaining ageing assets to managing the effects of climate change.
The call for abstracts is now open. Authors must send in abstracts of the papers they wish to present by 11.59pm on Friday 28 August to guarantee their consideration by the organising committee.
Please send your abstracts, or any questions, to James Crumly or Daxa Bharadwa and see below for more details.
