AMEY
Head Of Practice – System Integration
Nathan is the systems integration director for Amey Infrastructure Wales on the Core Valley Lines Transformation. Over a 20-year career to date, he initially established himself in signalling design before moving into engineering management and systems engineering.
He led the infrastructure engineering development of the Keolis Amey concept design for the CVL Transformation as part of their joint venture bid, and sits within the AIW senior management team responsible for systems integration, requirements management and information management.

Professional Head Contact Systems
Simon Warren is Chartered Engineer and Fellow of the PWI, he is the contact systems professional head for Amey Rail and has 25 years experience in overhead contact line design, construction, assurance and commissioning.
Simon has been involved with the Core Valley Lines project since 2020 acting as the designated project engineer for packages 1 and 2 the OLE constituent part of the project and was a key part in obtaining the authorisation for placing the infrastructure into service.

Account Director – Transport Infrastructure Rail
Ewen Morrison is a Chartered Project Professional (ChPP) and experienced project leader known for delivering high-profile rail projects. Currently an account director at Amey Rail, Ewen leads the delivery of the Taffs Well area projects as part of the Core Valley Lines programme.
Previously, Ewen managed the award-winning Dartmoor Line project and a £200m+ budget for the South West Rail Resilience Programme at Network Rail. With a strong background in civil engineering and project management, Ewen excels in strategic thinking, communication, and building strong relationships across business, government, and industry.
Aimed at students, this series of seven webinars which runs until May 2025 will enable you to learn about professional life from recent graduates from across the industry.
