ICE flies the flag for Pride

A first in the Institution’s history.

ICE will be showing solidarity and celebrating the LGBTQ+ community by flying a rainbow flag above its One Great George Street headquarters over the Pride in London weekend, for the first time in its history.

It’s doing so alongside many other organisations around the local Whitehall area, and the rest of the country.

This year is the #PrideJubilee, remembering 50 years of activism, protests and victories that have made the Pride movement what it is today.

Organised by ICE’s London Region, this year will also be the first time the ICE will be walking in the London Pride parade, so make sure you come and say hello as we join thousands of charities, companies and institutions as they proudly demonstrate their inclusivity on Saturday 6 July 2019.

Climate Action Week

The Pride in London Parade will coincide with London’s first Climate Action Week, which runs 1-8 July 2019.

ICE will be sharing the great work our members do in improving people's lives and a call to action to the public to ‘fight the fatberg’ and recognise water as an important resource.

Jonathan Baggs, ICE London and South East England Director, said: "I'm delighted that this year, for the first time, ICE Members and staff will be walking in London Pride Parade.

"Walking in London Pride is our opportunity to show the diverse individuals that work within the civil engineering profession and to celebrate the contributions our members make towards big societal challenges such as climate change."
