Overview

Come along for an engaging workshop evening designed for graduates, students, technicians, and apprentices to develop their social skills in a professional setting and explore the importance of effective communication.

The event will be held in person and will feature presentations from practising engineers, with extensive experience in communicating ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. 

The workshop will begin at 17:45 and run until approximately 19:15. Following the session, refreshments will be provided, along with an opportunity to network with fellow attendees.

Dena Sharif

Dena Sharif is an assistant geotechnical engineer at COWI and a recent MEng civil engineering graduate from the University of Glasgow. She has experience as a STEM Ambassador and has active committee roles in both the Glasgow University Civil Engineering Society and Women in STEM, as well as a placement at Arcadis under her belt. Dena brings a fresh and relatable perspective to early career development.

An MEng graduate of the University of Strathclyde, Andrew recently achieved a significant career milestone by passing his Chartered Professional Review with the Institution of Civil Engineers, a testament to years of dedication and professional growth.
