Overview
The ICE Early Careers Network London represents all graduate, student, technician and apprentice members of the ICE working or studying in the nation’s capital.
At the beginning of each month, we host our meeting focusing on a particular aspect of civil engineering. Our meetings involve talks from guest speakers, updates from the committee and progress on our objectives. There is also time to network with like-minded engineers before and after our meetings.
This session will explore the UK’s sustainability priorities and the key role civil engineering plays in achieving national net-zero goals. We’ll discuss how infrastructure design, low-carbon materials, and resilient construction practices contribute to environmental performance. The meeting will highlight current industry challenges, emerging sustainable technologies, and practical approaches apprentices and engineers can apply. Attendees will gain insight into how civil engineering supports a greener, more sustainable future for the UK.
We look forward to seeing you at the event!
