Overview

Building on the initial success of the ICE Connects: Women in Fellowship programme, it is proposed to hold an event, coinciding with International Women in Engineering day (23 June 2026) to develop ICE Connects outside the UK, and to encourage applications for Fellowship from a broad range of personal and professional backgrounds. This event mirrors the June 2024 ‘ICE Connects: Women in Leadership’ and the June 2025 ICE Connects International: Women in Fellowship webinars which attracted 111 and 163 attendees, respectively.

Fellowship is the highest grade of membership offered by ICE and is a professional accolade highly respected globally. Yet only just over 9% of current ICE Fellows are women; a statistic that the ICE aims to increase.

ICE Connects has set itself ambitious targets to increase FICE applications from women in the profession, and since forming in 2021, has seen an increase of over 90% on 2022 figures.

Join us for the third annual Women in Fellowship webinar, designed to bring non-UK regions together for an open, honest, value-adding discussion including Hong Kong, Australasia, MENA and Europe. This event allows women and male industry allies a space to unite and explore the importance of diversity across Fellowship.

Featuring a high-profile Fellowship Panel including Anne Kerr (Hong Kong), Nicola Henderson Reid (MENA) and Susana Ramjit (Republic of Ireland), the event chair for her third year is Melinda Lutton (Australasia).
