The deadline for award submissions has been extended to 23 May.

Don't miss your chance to enter the revamped British Construction and Infrastructure Awards (BCIA) — the deadline for submissions has been extended to Friday 23 May.
Previously known as the British Construction Industry Awards, the new name is one of a host of updates announced to reflect changes in the industry.
There is a new set of awards to celebrate great design and delivery, as well as the positive impact that the industry can have on the environment and society.
The awards will take place on 8 October 2025 at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House Hotel in London.
The Sir John Armitt Award
Among the new awards this year is the Sir John Armitt Award, which will showcase what projects can achieve at their very best.
This award will go to the project that’s gone above and beyond to deliver not just to the client, but to end users and other stakeholders, too.
Sir John, an ICE Past President, is supporting the award and will chair the judging panel.
He said: “We design to satisfy a client’s desired outcomes. But at the same time, we need to satisfy wider stakeholders that we have created buildings and infrastructure which benefit the community and create an improved and uplifting environment.
“To achieve this, we must be creative, innovate, and challenge ourselves and our colleagues in a collaborative approach.
“This award recognises a project team that exemplifies these very qualities.”
New categories for 2025
The BCIA also launched awards specific to design and delivery across architectural design, construction, engineering and the best project team.
And there are six new awards to celebrate the impact that the industry has in the following categories:
- Health, safety and wellbeing
- Digital implementation
- Net zero carbon
- Sustainability and environmental impact
- Social value and community impact
- Innovation
Within the awards dedicated to buildings, a new International Project of the Year category has been announced.
