FAQs
The conference is an essential international event for transport infrastructure professionals, including consultants, academics, asset owners, contractors and suppliers.
You don’t need to be a member of the Institution of Civil Engineers to attend the event or present a session at it.
The conference will be held in Manchester, UK, on 23-25 September 2026.
The abstract submission window for applicants wishing to present papers at Resilient Transport 2026 has now closed. The conference organising committee is reviewing the submitted abstracts and will inform each author of its decision in due course.
Ensure that you don’t miss any important announcements about the conference by signing up to receive regular updates. Be the first to know about the programme, keynote speakers and registration details.
The ICE has negotiated a special room rate at the main conference venue. We will share information on how to obtain this discount shortly, but there are also several other accommodation options nearby.
In addition to the main programme, there will be various networking events during the conference, including site visits and a gala dinner. Look out for updates later in 2025.
As a charity, the ICE always tries to minimise the cost of attending its events. Ticket prices will be announced shortly, with discounts available to those working for local authorities, government agencies, charities and NGOs. There will also be special reduced rates for early-bird bookings. Full details will be made available in the next few months.
Sponsoring the conference as an event partner is an ideal way to connect with attendees from across the civil engineering and transport community. Contact Perry James, head of knowledge partnerships, for information about becoming an exhibitor.
If you have a query that hasn't been answered above, please email James Crumly, ICE knowledge research lead, for further details.
