Thomas Podger

Thomas Podger is a Chartered Civil Engineer working in the role of Senior Project Engineer with Network Rail Scotland. He joined Network Rail as a graduate and over the last 10 years has worked in both project management and engineering roles across the buildings and civils portfolio. He has supported infrastructure projects through development, design, construction, and handover, working across multidisciplinary teams.

Thomas advocates for engineers to communicate clearly and accessibly and has appeared on television explaining engineering concepts to non technical audiences. Communicating in this way is essential to demonstrating the profession’s value within the wider construction industry and to society.
