Book nowOverview
The ICE HKA Delegation 2026 will conduct a professional engineering study tour across Seoul and its surrounding areas, focusing on South Korea’s world-class sustainable infrastructure and innovative urban construction development. Centred on the theme “Bridging Cities, Building Future”, this programme aims to explore how modern civil engineering integrates renewable energy technology, intelligent transportation systems and multi-functional architectural design to support low-carbon, future-ready metropolitan development.
South Korea has long been recognised for its forward-thinking approach to urban resilience and eco-friendly engineering. The tour covers a diverse range of flagship infrastructure projects, including the landmark Siwha Lake Tidal Power Station, one of the world’s most representative tidal energy facilities, as well as large-scale transportation infrastructures such as Incheon Bridge and Paju Highway Tunnel. These sites fully demonstrate Korea’s mature technological accumulation in clean energy utilisation, long-span bridge engineering and urban tunnel construction.
Complementing on-site technical visits, the delegation will also participate in academic exchange sessions with local university engineering teams. Combined with field study at Starfield Cheongna Stadium, an innovative large-scale complex venue project, participants will gain comprehensive insights into Korea’s integrated urban design, modern construction management and sustainable development strategies, offering valuable international references for local engineering practice and future project innovation.
